How to: Insert objects.
Solution:
Open the desired form in Design view, select 'Object...' from the 'Insert' menu, select the 'Create New' radio button, and select the desired type of object to insert.
NOTE: The 'Developer Tools' must be installed.
1) If the Database window is not activated, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Forms' tab in the Database window.

3) Select the desired form in which to insert the object from the list box. (The selected form is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'. (The selected form appears in the Form Design view.)
5) Click in the form where the object is to appear. (The cursor blinks at the insertion point.)
6) Select the 'Insert' menu and select Object...'. (The Insert Object dialog box appears.)
7) Do one of the following to insert a new object in the form:
a) Select the 'Create New' radio button.
b) Select the type of object from the 'Object Type' list box:
c) Click 'OK'.
d) Do one of the following:
1] If the object is a ClipArt object:
a] Select the desired picture in the 'Microsoft ClipArt Gallery 2.0' dialog box.
b] Click 'OK' to insert the picture.
2] If the object is an Excel Worksheet object:
a] Type the desired data in the worksheet window.
b] Double-click outside the worksheet window to insert the worksheet.
3] If the object is an Excel Chart object:
a] Click the 'Sheet1' tab at the bottom of the chart window.
b] Type the desired data in the worksheet.
c] Click the 'Chart1' tab to view the chart after the data is typed
d] (Optional) To change the appearance of the graph:
1} Click on the graph.
2} Select the desired item in the graph.
3} Use the appropriate command in the 'Format' menu.
4} Double-click outside the graph to insert it in the form.
4] If the object is a WordArt object:
a] Type the desired text in the 'Enter Your Text Here' dialog box.
b] (Optional) Use the appropriate 'WordArt' menu and toolbar buttons to change the appearance of the text.
c] Double-click outside the WordArt object to insert it in the form.
5] If the object is a PowerPoint slide or presentation:
a] Create the desired object in the slide or the presentation window.
b] Double-click in the form outside the slide or presentation window to insert the object.
6] If the object is a Windows 'Paint' Picture object:
a] Draw the picture in the object window.
b] Double-click outside the object window to insert the picture.
7] If the object is a Microsoft Data Map object:
a] Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'External Data...'.
b] Select the application used to open the data source in the 'Specify External Data Source' dialog box.
c] Click 'OK'.
d] Select the document containing the data source in the 'Open' dialog box.
e] Click 'Open'.
f] Specify the data to use in the 'Data Map' dialog box.
g] Click 'OK'.
h] Double-click outside the object window to insert the data map.
8] If the object is an Organization Chart, Word, WordPad, Bitmap Image, or Package object:
a] Create the object in its respective window.
b] Select 'Update' or 'Update <x>' from the 'File' menu.
c] Select 'Exit and Return to <x>' or 'Close and Return to <x>' from the 'File' menu, where <x> is the name of the destination document.
8) Do the following to insert an object which was already created and saved:
a) Select the 'Create from File' radio button.
b) Type the path and filename of the object in the 'File' box.
NOTE: Use 'Browse' to search for the file if the location and name of the file are unknown.
c) (Optional) Select the 'Link' check box to link the file to the form.
d) Click 'OK'.
9) To close the properties sheet, click the 'X' in the upper right hand corner of the sheet.
The Close button 'X'
NOTE: The property changes will be saved only when the form is saved.
